Taking that inspiration I've received from the recent issue of Somerset Life magazine, I altered some plain brown wooden spools that I picked up at Michael's craft store and I gave them a bit of a makeover to match my new blog makeover.
Now my simple little wooden spools are shabbied up in the yummiest shade of pink....
With a little bit of bling added in the form of buttons and pretty stick pins..
What a fun and easy project. Now I have the urge to make a few more using some different colored paint..
unfortunately Michael's is not in Puerto Rico no more from about 10 years....I didn't see this spools in any craft store and you make them so yummy and lovable.
How adorable. Think I will try some of those and put them by my sewing machine. Great job. I made some of the covered spools for my minature Christmas Trees to use as stands for them. Used music paper. They are so versatile. Ginger
Hi Kim! Your spools are so beautiful! I've seen altered spools before, but yours are definitely the prettiest! What a fun project! I may have to try this sometime. Thanks for the inspiration! Michelle
