Teacup Tuesday - Week 14

Hello my friends and welcome to another addition of "Teacup Tuesday".

This week, I have something a little different to share. Prepare yourself!!!

It's the one and only teacup in my collection that surprisingly is quite simple with no floral design. Yep, you heard right. I actually have a teacup that has no design or florals on it....

Despite there being no floral pattern on this teacup which is usually one of the things I am first drawn to, this charming teacup drew my attention mostly because of it's creamy soft yellow color. I love this shade of yellow and am always on the lookout for vintage style items in this color to add to my yellow collection. This teacup fits in perfectly with my collection.

I like the fact that having a solid color teacup lets me mix & match it very easily with my other china pieces. As you can see here, I chose to display it layered on a blue and rose floral desert plate and against a backdrop of a small china tray in the same pattern as the desert plate. The desert plate and china tray also have touches of yellow in the floral pattern and displaying them with the solid yellow teacup allows the yellow in the floral pattern to pop and be more noticeable.

I hope you enjoyed seeing something a little different from me today. Now, please take the time to visit these lovely ladies to see what they are sharing for this weeks "Teacup Tuesday".

Very pretty especially with the florals you combined it with. You are getting me inspired to start a collection, but no, there's no room. I do have lots of bowls. and a few odds and end other pieces.

Happy Teacup Tuesday Kim! Lovely cup, that shade of yellow is so cottage-shabby isn't it?

Have a great week!

Yeah! It's Teacup Tuesday again. I think I may have seen the same blue and rose pattern on Cindy's blog.

Hi Kim! Oh my, yes, I can see we like a lot of the same things! Thanks for visiting my blog, and for the nice comments. My head is spinning with ideas for blog posts.
Not sure what I will post next, but I think it will be about the teacup pin cushions that I made. Oh, I can't wait to participate in teacup Tuesday! See you soon!

Kim, I collect tea cups, tea pots, and anything relating to tea. I don't always use them but I do love looking at them in my mother's old china cabinet. The yellow cup and saucer is beautiful, sometimes beauty can be plain and simple. I am working on my blog about my "tea" life and collectibles but have not yet finished it. I am so glad I found yours - and this is the first time I have heard of Teacup Tuesday, such a neat idea.
