Itty Bitty Finds.....

Hello my sweet friends....

Don't you just love it when you can find something really, really cute for really, really cheap? If you're anything like me, I'm sure you just answered YES..

Wanna see an itty bitty little something that I found for just $1.00 at one of my favorite antique shops?

Here it is.....

It's the cutest little jar ever with a flower shaped lid in the softest shade of blue. It stands just 1.5 inches tall and is 2 inches wide. It's an old Avon Cream Perfume jar and was empty when I bought it. The empty jar was a little plain so I filled it with some old cream colored buttons I had.

Now, it sits on my computer monitor riser right in front of me so I can have another pretty thing to look at whenever I am sitting at my desk in my office at home (now if I could just find a way to hide all those darned electrical cords....)

What kinds of things do all of you surround yourself with on your desks and/work areas at home and at work? I would love to know.

Ooooooh! What a pretty, sweet little jar!
I love to have favorites on my desk like a teddy bear, a pretty clock, a couple of cute angels, and other little mementos. Of course, right now, my desk looks like it needs a shovel. hehehe!

What a very cute little jar! Just love to find special treasures. I don't have many "pretties" around my desk area :-(

Hi Kim!

Very sweet little jar! The buttons just finish it off, too! I also like the cup, etc. in the background of your first picture with all those little flowers on it.

The only thing that I have ever actually done to make the work area pretty is I sewed/quilted a pink with pink flowers cover for the computer and sewed silk ribbons to tie bows with on either side (you know, to tighten it up to fit better) and then a matching key board cover. I can sew and craft all day long, but I seem to be somewhat challenged with actually decorating...terribly aggravating. I'll be the gal who the great-great-grandkids love to discover her trunk in the attic full of treasures while the rest of the house is plain! How funny!

Have a supurb weekend!

Hi Kim,

I love your blog. And I am envious of your little Avon your. I am an Avon Rep. and I love Avon, have loved it since I was a little girl and my mama was an Avon Rep.

I collect vintage Avon as well, if you go to my blog and look under labels for Avon you'll be able see a small part of my collection.

I wish I still had all the Avon stuff my mom and aunts bought for me.

Thanks for coming over to visit me...I love company. I love the little cream sachet jar and I just recently found one, too. It's pink with a lady "painted" on the lid. It's so pretty, I have it on my perfume tray in my bedroom. I remember Avon as my first real scent when I was a young teenager and I loved it.

The second I saw the jar my mind said "Avon". I must have seen it in my childhood. I just love the human brain! It *is* a sweet and pretty little jar! Yes, I love to find pretty and cute little things for CHEAP!

The top of my compter table (hutch style) has family portraits and little pretties but the actual work area is shared with 2 messy boys so I don't even try there! ☺
