Three Years Ago Today....

A terrible tragedy occurred here in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota when one of our major interstate bridges collapsed with no warning, killing 13 people who had the misfortune of being on the bridge at the wrong time and injury over 145 others.

It is a day that forever changed the city...

And one that will never be forgotten....

Please say a prayer today in memory of those who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy and for thier families and also for the survivors who must live with the memories of this terrible day forever.

The images shown here are ones that I've borrowed from various media sources or which were posted on public sites.

I remember this so clearly. How sad and tragic it was! My prayers are with the families of those left behind...May the Lord God comfort them and hold them with His everlasting peace and goodness.
In Christ,
Karen

I have been thinking about this quite a bit lately. We just came back from a trip to the U.S where we crossed over many similar bridges through our travels and this tragedy came across my mind every time. God bless their families and those who were involved and survived.

It was such a sad time...I remember wondering where my family members were that day, and if they had to take that bridge home...it brought a lot of attention to bridges across the country and many are still living with the aftermath of the tragedy...w

It seems like it was only yesterday that the tragic collapse happened. Prayers for all the families and friends.
